Farming the Sun is an award winning community solar energy initiative. This project enables local community members and organisations to pool micro-investments, build and own a solar farm. It aims to install at least 1 MW of solar farms across north-eastern NSW – the New England High Country, Liverpool Plains, North Coast and Gwydir Regions. It is Australia’s largest such project to date.

Gwymac Landcare coordinates landcare groups across the Macintyre and Gwydir catchments. Gwymac Landcare is a non-profit, community owned organisation, providing a free service to the community, run by a volunteer committee.
